Uplighting

We've been working on a lot of new things over here and one of the most exciting has been uplighting! 

It's such a fantastic tool for creating a whole atmosphere at your event.  You can choose any color and incorporate into the background of your room, or just highlight a special feature.  There are so many ways to utilize it and we are excited to get the opportunity to help you determine what those ways are.

New Year, new excitement, new happenings!

Well, 2010 was quite a year!  We did more decor at events than we have in any previous year (I have to admit, that's one of my favorite parts of my job!), which was a wonderful change of pace.  We have some fabulous new pics on the website of some of the fun decor elements we used over the holidays.  You check them out here.

It is my New Year's resolution, to get better at this whole blogging, tweeting and facebooking thing!!!  I need your help with that.  If you notice that I haven't blogged in a while, shoot me an email and remind me that I need to write something...

Looking forward to a great year ahead.  Every day in this business is different, and I can't wait to see what lies in store for 2011.  Hopefully you'll be able to share it with me  =)

Getting ready for the Holidays

So, I've obviously taken the last few months off from the blog!  We've had a wonderful summer filled with kids and vacations and little bit of work thrown in!  Now it's back to business time...

I've been working on some new centerpieces for a client of ours.  We are doing a "Winter Wonderland" theme and I'm excited about how all of the decor ideas are turning out.  We're doing a lot of sparkly, light catching items.  The colors are white, blues and silver.  I can't wait to see it all setup and lit with the blue uplighting!!!  I love my job!  It's fun to put samples together and see the excitement in my client's eyes as they are picturing their event.

Lots more to do to get all of the supplies for the decor.  Have a fabulous day  =)

Another great casino!!!

Had a very intimate little casino last night.  Even with the weather, almost all of the guests made it out.  They had fun playing cards, dice, roulette and doing a little trivia! 

I have a question for all of you out there... If you had a choice between Texas Hold 'Em and Roulette, which one would you choose?  Leave me a comment and let me know.

A Successful Event

Well, it was another successful event!  The clients were really happy and the guests had a fabulous time playing around in the casino.  A big thank you to all my dealers for the evening!  It's your smiling faces and hard work that help make these events so much fun.  Can't wait to work with you all again.

We're excited to have the opportunity to work on a few more casino proposals right now.  The planning and vision casting process is always fun for me.  I get to talk to people about an exciting event in their lives and do what I love!  What could be better than that?!? 

I'm looking forward to what our next adventure might be!  I'll be sure to share it with all of you out there.  Have an amazing day!

A little breather...

We all made it through last week over here! It was pretty crazy...

Scott had 2 Bridal shows (one on Friday night in GR and one on Sunday in Battle Creek) with a trip to Lansing to do a company party in between!!! On top of all of his travels, we had our annual WinterFest at church this weekend, which I helped plan. Can I just say that volunteers are awesome!!! I would really like to say a big, "Thank You" to all of the people who worked so hard to make that event happen. It included a chili cook-off, a MarioKart WII tournament, and a ping pong tournament! We also had board games and lots of yummy munchies and desserts. If you missed it, be sure to make it a priority for next year, because we all had a great time.

It's the start of another a fantastic week over here. A casino this weekend and possibly a karaoke party for Scott on Sunday. Lots to do, lots to do...

Here we go!!!

Well here we go!!! Off on another new adventure... the blog! It seems to be the thing to do these days, so we're going to give it a shot.

Our hope for this blog is that it will be fun and informative. In the future we would like to have basic tips, frequently asked questions and of course, fun blurbs about our past and upcoming events...

In fact, we have a company casino night coming up next weekend and we're really looking forward to it. The planning on this one has been a very smooth process, and having done a party for this group before, we know it's going to be a good time!
